B.Ed Teaching Subjects


The specialisation subjects or stream of pursuance by a particular student prior to the pursuance of a B.ED course determines the choice of subjects that he or she is allowed to teach in TGT/PGT job profile.


For students who have pursued Arts stream, the choice of subjects of instruction is vastly constricted to the following:

  1. Social Studies (History, Pol. Science, Geography, Social Science, Psychology)
  2. Home Science
  3. Music
  4. Languages (English/Hindi)


For students who have pursued Science stream, the choice of subjects of instruction is vastly constricted to the following:

  1. Physical Science (Physics)
  2. Biology
  3. Computer Science
  4. Maths

For students who have pursued Commerce stream, the choice of subjects of instruction is vastly constricted to the following:

  1. Commerce
  2. Economics
  3. Maths
  4. Languages (English/Hindi)
